A new report from the ACCC reveals many Australians are unaware of how much of their personal data is being sold or shared by companies.
As the data economy grows, consumers’ information is being stored, and transferred to businesses and governments. The report highlights different uses of the data, some considered as possibly unethical, where certain vulnerable groups can be targeted as a customer base.
