France is one of only two countries in the EU that remains committed to being ‘carbon-neutral’ by 2050, and one of the steps they are taking is to ban short-domestic flights in favour of utilising trains.
In Australia, this change would result in widespread backlash, but in France, this is largely inconvenient and far healthier for the environment.
