More than 60,000 insurance claims have been done in 2022 alone thanks to the floods in Queensland and New South Wales.
However, much more Australians are uninsured because it is expensive, or do not know their content, creating more financial stress.
The Federal government, according to experts, needs to create a national fund pool to support Australians in these circumstances.
