At the 2020 election Jacinda Ardern achieved a rare feat for a New Zealand government, gaining a majority under the MMP system. However, three years later with a cost of living crisis and a new leader Labor no longer remains the favourite for re-election.

With the election only 10 days away Stephen Hill talked to Julia Talbot-Jones from the school of Government at Victoria University Wellington about the New Zealand election race.
