Nurses and midwives rallied in Melbourne today, warning that 2,000 graduates could miss out on placements by 2026, despite ongoing staff shortages.

During Nursing in the Community Week, they’re calling for more support and reforms so nurses can work to their full potential, not just in hospitals, but in aged care, schools, and homes.

The ANMF is urging the government to fund more graduate spots and is pushing its “Use Us or Lose Us” petition.
