On World Hepatitis Day – Hep Can’t Wait

While testing and treatment for COVID-19 has taken priority at health services across Australia, the testing rates for Hepatitits B & C have dropped 20 per cent.

This decline is concerning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who are 14 times more likely to have a newly acquire infection compared to other Australians.

The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and EC Australia have combined forces to encourage First Nations peoples to get testing with a new theme ‘Hep Can’t Wait’.
