Since the pandemic began, all areas of government agreed that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are vulnerable to COVID-19.
The Australian government, along with the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, states and territories, are now making tremendous efforts to reach every First Nations communities, regardless of how far they are from metropolitan areas, so they can get their COVID-19 vaccine.
According to experts, vaccinations are an effective tool to protect the First Nations communities across Australia.
