Earlier this year, the Australian Electoral Commission unveiled its draft redistribution for New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

The most interesting changes suggested in the drafts included the removal of two seats; Higgins in Melbourne’s inner-east and North Sydney in the North of Sydney.

This decision is part of a standard part of the electoral process.
