Research shows that there is a huge educational divide in Australia that exists between students in regional, rural and remote Australia and students in major cities.
Although the National School Reform Agreement aims to improve outcomes for students, ultimately it still ignores how external factors outside the classroom can be barriers.
In fact, policies often do not address the systemic and long-term disadvantages experienced by students in rural areas.
