The recurring weather events were often behind skyrocketing prices on fresh produce, according to Rural Aid’s CEO, John Warlters.
The donations given on Rural Aid’s Mate day will be used to help farmers deal with their challenges and help farming families recover.
Mr Warlters spoke in particular about this cause and why some farmers are questioning being in the agricultural business.
