The eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, has seen intense fighting over the last few months, as Russian forces work to capture it.
While largely symbolic, the city’s capture would represent Moscow’s first major victory in its Winter offensive.
Ukraine has vowed to defend the city as they try and bolster their forces.
