Greece has become the landing point for asylum seekers over recent decades, with migration flowing from the Middle East and Africa. It’s seen more than 1 million refugees crossing to Europe since 2015.
Once a space where a refugee could be safe, now the borders are locked tight.
Journalist Zoe Holman has investigated the migrant and the refugee issue in Greece, and she wrote a book about how refugees live without any support.
