As the COVID pandemic progresses, we have seen a development in the long term effects of the virus. Individual health, family arrangements, infrastructure, travel, and other aspects of life have changed.
People with invisible disabilities continue to struggle to gain recognition within their communities as well as through governmental bodies. The return to the office has affected how these people are able to work at the tail-end of the pandemic. Those who have become used to the flexible work schedule, and remote environment feel a lack of support back at their workplace.
Claire Seeley, Registered Nurse and PhD Candidate at the University of Adelaide, wrote an article for the Conversation exploring the reality of long COVID, and the affect this has on the definition of disability.
We investigated the consequences of long COVID on the individual and for businesses.
