Today marks Freedom Day across NSW and the easing of Covid-19 restrictions for fully vaccinated residents. In many parts of regional NSW, double vaccination rates remain below the state’s average of over 70% percent of the population having received both doses. While many regional businesses have welcomed the lifting of restrictions there are concerns that once travel opens up to the regions it could put additional pressure on the region’s health systems.
