Fishing and Agriculture are the basis of most Pacific nations’ blue-green economies.
And it is not just for food: between 50 and 75% of Pacific Island peoples depend on agriculture and fishing for their livelihood.
Severe events like Tonga’s Volcanic eruption and Tsunami devastated agriculture.
Cyclones also devastated areas in other nations like Fiji. On top of that is the climate change threat to agriculture and fisheries, and events like the war in Ukraine.
