Traditional Land Owners demand for the sacred Lake Torrens to be protected

The Barngarla Determination Aboriginal Corporation have launched legal proceedings against the drilling of the sacred Aboriginal site Lake Torrens.

TBDAC are outraged by South Australia’s Premier and Aboriginal minister Steven Marshall for approving the mining application without consulting traditional owners.

The mining company Kelaray aim to drill the surface of Lake Torrens for iron oxide copper gold destroying an Aboriginal sacred site having 60,000 years of cultural history.
