Two Aussie states have received the label “very poor” report card from Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), which has assessed the nation’s efforts to preserve forests.
Globally, Australia has the highest rate of deforestation in the developed world.
WWF scientists are now calling on leaders as well as the public to improve the score and prevent deforestation for communities and native wildlife.
