With COVID cases begin to rise once again, there is growing concern that remote communities will once again lack the resources needed to fight the virus.

COVID has exposed the difference between rural and city regions, and community radio stations like Wilcannia River radio have had to step up and be leaders in fighting the fake COVID news that was being spread by social media platforms such as Facebook.

Robert Clayton is one of the producers at Wilcannia River Radio. His team released facebook videos urging people to take the virus, and he and his fellow co-workers were instrumental in delivering the government’s health advice to First Nation people.
