Wildlife services across Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW have been pushed to their limits trying to deal with the large number of animals left destitute and in danger from the floods. Many of which are ground dwelling animals that have no chance of escaping rising waters. Conditions have worsened due to the complex weather pattern of La nina which threatens to stick around for a while longer. Wildlife services warn of the many dangers animals find themselves in under such conditions stating it is far better to call upon their services rather than risk your own life attempting to save them.
