An international dispute over allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics continues to escalate, as Ukraine is strong in its threat to boycott the games.
While the fate of ‘neutral athletes’ from Russia and Belarus in the upcoming games remains undecided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the prospect of an Olympic boycott with international support may continue to strain tensions.
