This Sunday is World Suicide Prevention Day, an event to remember those who have passed away and to show support to their families and friends.
According to the ABS, suicide is 2.5 times more prevalent than the national toll road deaths, and with long waiting on mental health support services, community-led support services, such as the Wesley LifeForce Suicide Prevention Networks, are proving to be effective.
If you or someone you know are concerned about this topic, help is always available for you. Call Lifeline on 13 11 14, or if you’re a First Nations person, call 13 YARN (13 92 76).
