Last week, leaders from the National Cabinet set forth policy measures aiming to address the housing affordability crisis, ranging from building more homes across the country to increasing funding for states and territories.  

One such framework is ‘A Better Deal for Renters’, which includes limiting rent to once a year and phasing in minimum rental standards for around one-third of Australians who rent homes.
